Lots of problems

Pros

With the exception of senior management, many talented people at all levels. Work life balance is fair. Some benefits are reasonable.

Cons

DARK future for this company as management has absolutely no idea on why employees are unsatisfied with the path this company is headed. They are in the midst of cutting every budget possible to bring up the financials to sell quickly.

Pros

Health insurance package is better than most Remote work lower-level and director-level management is generally quite good.

Cons

KLDiscovery seems to suffer from the same problems as many eDiscovery vendors. Work-life balance was difficult when I was there, and I've been told that since 24/7 client support is used as a major selling point, KLD has a propensity to attract clients that expect more evening/weekend/holiday work. Based on my experience, I believe it. The company has taken some steps to mitigate the demands of after-hours work, but IMO they were half-measures at best. Staffing has been a problem - with burnout, past downsizing, and frustration at a high level, many seasoned and knowledgeable employees have left, making things harder for those that remain and need to pick up the extra slack AND work with/train new hires Senior management is not good. There are some excellent folks at the director level, but above that the leadership group seems mercenary and ignorant. They seem to think nothing of cutting pay/bonus/benefits when times are hard or uncertain, and not restoring them when things improve. There seems to be a pattern of releasing new solutions before they're ready for prime time and patching them as problems become manifest. Management seems very top-down, Going public gave rise to additional frustration. In my opinion (and granted, this entire review is only my opinion), it's been used as an excuse to stiff employees on compensation. Employees have been required to forgo certain forms of compensation in exchange for stock options (at an exercise price that I suspect may never be met or exceeded substantially) or stock grants (which may take a very long time to vest - e.g., 10 years). The company is actually a combination of KrollOntrack and KLDiscovery. Integration even after a few years between the two was poor when I left. Multiple environments to work in, and it gets annoying/confusing. The feeling I encountered among certain groups is that, if you're a friend of family member of senior management, you're golden. If not, well, good luck to you.

Pros

They pay you. That is it.

Cons

- Will add extra duties ontop of your current workload and expect to perform just as well. - Bonuses are used as bait and get taken away many times for various reasons. - The CEO is making everyone make a pledge to some values which is very strange, - Very stressful environment.
