Pros

Work hours tend to be flexible. Positive work environment. Co-workers are supportive and work as a team.

Cons

Case loads are overwhelming. The amount and qualify of work asked of workers is impossible to achieve within a 40 hour week.

- It is amazing to watch the kids grow and change during their stay at KVC (some are there long-term) - Good pay for a job that doesn't require a college-level education

Cons

- Co-workers are not adequately trained in providing mental health services or supervision - Overall a very harsh environment (lots of aggression and trauma)

Good support from clinical management team. Work in an environment with others who have a vast amount of knowledge and experience.

Cons

The politics of the agency make it difficult to believe in and support the company. There is a disconnect between upper management and the needs of the workers in the field.

Starting in fall 2015, KVC has invested significant time and energy in listening to employees, communicating more with employees, and pursuing initiatives that make KVC a great place to work.
