Pros

When days are good, they're great. You're happy, you have a great office space, yummy food, beer, yoga, nice coworkers to chat to and make friends with, and you're working on something that is actually important.

Cons

When days are bad, they're bad. You can't focus on your work because your coworkers are using the space as a place to hang out. Those benefits like good food and yoga and beer seem to have a downside. Offering beer and lunch means people will hang out in the office during lunch or after work and keep working. These benefits are nice, but it would be nicer to have a matching 401k plan. You work on things that don't seem important and are very urgent.

Pros

I loved the values that Kabbage preaches and lived them. Still do.

Cons

Leadership did not embody these values. They care deeply, but took the first opportunity to lay off a large portion of the company (due to Covid, apparently). From a business perspective, this was unnecessary. 3 months later, they're starting to bring back positions, at about half the original salary, so I hear.

Thank you for writing a review! At Kabbage, we talk often about our core values because they not only define our culture, but also guide our decisions. There have been many changes over the last several months that were unexpected and led to a deeply difficult decision to part ways with some of our team members. No one could have possibly foreseen the effects COVID-19 would have on our economy and business, so we understand your disbelief as we share it with you. We care deeply about our former team members which is why we jumped at the opportunity to bring as many back as we could. For some, this meant being hired back in an entirely new position as we changed the course of our business to keep up with the needs of our customers during these challenging times. We are strongly committed to our team members, both current and former, so we wish you the very best! Thanks again for your review.

No longer the same award-winning company

Pros

The people were always the reason I loved working there.

Cons

Poor business decisions that led to furloughs and laying off really great people. Many people have left the company even if they didn't get laid off. Kabbage is no longer the company that has been winning awards over the last few years. There was a gossip culture where they played favorites, and fired the people they didn't like.
