Pros

Unlimited Snacks, Lunch, Paid benefits

Cons

Do not let the culture fool you. People are constantly trying to stab each other in the back and they care way more about tenure than actual ability. Some of the supervisors do not belong in their positions. I have never worked for a more poorly run company in my life.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Kabbage is guided by our core values, which have been the driving force behind our phenomenal growth. For a fast-moving company, many of our roles grow organically and embracing such changes with a positive attitude propels both individual and organizational growth. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to grow at and keep up with the pace. Through “No Kabbager Left Behind," we are committed to giving every team member a chance to improve their performance when it isn’t up to par. A separation occurs only after all possible options have been explored. We are strongly committed to our team members, both current and former, so we wish you the very best!

Pros

There is great experience to be gained here and there were great opportunities to move up in the company back when I started. There are a lot of great people that work here and you can gain friendships that will last a long time through company outings and parties.

Cons

Not high enough pay for the amount of stress or work. Most of the time my life is just working and sleeping, including weekends. Lack of fairness across the company. Some people work their life away and get fired and some barely work at all, walk around the office all day gossiping and playing games and get to stay. Also, extreme lack of vacation flexibility unless you have kids. If you do not have kids, do not expect management to grant you to go on vacation more than a few days a year, especially if you're in a production based department due to their "be reasonable" policy in regards to Paid Time Off. Benefits are poor. Health insurance is not good. They cater food everyday but they do that so that you eat at your desk and work longer without a break.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re so frustrated. Have you discussed any of your concerns with your manager? If you have and they haven’t been addressed, please come talk to me, Kathryn or Rob. If you’ve worked for Kabbage for over a year, you know that we act swiftly when we’re made aware of valid concerns. Please address this live with someone who can help, as comments in this venue won’t drive to a resolution. One of the things that we’re most proud of at Kabbage is how low our voluntary attrition rate is - this means our team members are very happy! We certainly don’t want anyone to work for a company where they’re unhappy, so please talk with us directly and we will work to address your concerns. If we can’t get to a result that’s great for both of us, we’d love to help you find a new home at a company that is a better fit.

Pros

Great industry. Company tries hard to innovate. Rank and File work very hard.

Cons

Don’t know how to recruit, onboard or prime new talent for success. Founders root against each other. Constant badmouthing of employees — even how they dress, do they smile. Gut feel rules over hard science.

Thank you for your review. We are dedicated to helping each Kabbager grow and thrive in our environment. It starts with our onboarding and 2-day orientation program where new team members learn about our core values and get a foundational understanding of our history and products. We are thoughtful about how performance is evaluated and are committed to “No Kabbager Left Behind,” which ultimately means there are no surprises with regards to someone’s knowledge about how they’re performing. A separation occurs only after all possible options have been explored. We think the "carnage" you may be referring to is related to the deeply difficult decision to part ways with many of our team members. COVID-19 has had effects on our economy and business that we could not possibly foresee, so we understand your disbelief as we share it with you. We have a no tolerance policy when it comes to any form of harassment, and act swiftly when concerns are brought to a manager or people operations partner. We take your feedback seriously, and continue to make our work place the best it can be. Thank you again for your review.
