Pros

Most coworkers (probably 75%) work great as a team. There are raises every year. Only 3 days of weekday on call a month. Weekend call maybe every 2 to 3 months

Cons

Short staffed to the point you will not be able to leave because there is no staff to replace you. Management does nothing to address issues employees lesser than a doctor face. Most decisions are made with a profit first mentality.

Cons

efforts to appear as if they take staff recommendations seriously. managers are rewarded for the more they can get out of their staff while burnt out staff leave...but that doesn't reflect poorly on the manager. How about managers with good retention?

Union is great compared to other community hospital's union.

Cons

HR department lacks communication and has messed up my pay several times. You must watch your paystubs and not assume it is correct.
