Pros

Keane Federal Ssytems is working hard to expand contract opportunities. They are prime contractor on several opportunities in the Federal Government, and this gives Keane a slight advantage on those contracts.

Cons

If your prosition ends as part of a task order or contract ending, the standard is two weeks with pay, and thne a month furlough with benefits, and then you are out (and forgotten about). Keane program management has no preference for internal candidates to external ones, and qualified employees on the bench may not obtain a job, even when they are perfectly qualified. The release of a task order, response, award, itnerview, and start within the Federal sector is much longer than the two weeks allowed by KRS for pay in order to find a new job. You might as well be an independent contractor for the amount of support KFS gives. I think they are absolutely incompetent in this regard. There has been more management turnover than I would have expected.

Pros

Keane wants to become relevant again and as a result advertises to the employees that there will be change on the horizon.

Cons

There is no clear roadmap or design for growth or future at Keane. They are very lean in HR and therefore give little attention to retention and reward. The sales and deal pursuit process is chaotic and unorganized. They recycle the same VP and SVP level leadership throughout the organization in the hopes that 'rearranging' the management will somehow change their outcomes. Venture capital partner participation is heavy-handed; and in the end slows the business down.
