Pros

Opportunity for remote work at home. Not worth it though!

Cons

Working for Kelly Services, Inc. as a Recruiter has been a thoroughly disappointing and frustrating experience. From the moment I stepped into the company, it became apparent that the promises they make during the recruitment process are far from reality. Firstly, the workload is beyond manageable. The company seems to have an insatiable appetite for more and more placements, regardless of the quality of the candidates or the fit for the job. The pressure to meet unrealistic targets is constant, leaving no room for work-life balance. Long hours and weekends become the norm, and any attempts to raise concerns about workload are met with dismissal or vague reassurances. The management's lack of support is another glaring issue. Instead of providing guidance and mentorship, they seem more interested in pointing fingers and blaming recruiters for any shortcomings. There's a distinct lack of clear communication and a disregard for the challenges faced on the ground. This not only fosters a toxic environment but also hinders any chance of professional growth. Furthermore, the technology and tools provided are outdated and clunky. In an industry that relies heavily on efficient systems, Kelly Services falls far behind. Time wasted on navigating through poorly designed software and manual processes could be better spent building relationships and finding suitable candidates. The compensation structure is also a major drawback. The base salary is barely competitive, and the commission structure is convoluted, making it difficult to gauge how much one will actually earn. This uncertainty adds to the stress of an already demanding job and creates an environment where financial stability is far from assured. Perhaps the most disheartening aspect is the disregard for candidate and employee well-being. Candidates are often treated as mere commodities, with the focus solely on filling roles quickly rather than ensuring a proper match. This approach not only damages the reputation of the company but also takes a toll on the recruiter's sense of ethical responsibility. In conclusion, working for Kelly Services, Inc. as a Recruiter has been a disillusioning and demoralizing experience. The company's disregard for work-life balance, lack of support from management, outdated technology, subpar compensation, and neglect of candidate well-being create an environment that is simply not conducive to professional growth or personal satisfaction. I would strongly advise anyone considering a position as a Recruiter at Kelly Services to think twice before committing to such a disappointing and disheartening role.

Cons

1. Job Stability Many positions are temporary or contract-based. Employment can be short-term and dependent on client needs. 2. Limited Benefits Temporary roles may not include full benefits like health insurance, paid leave, or retirement plans. Permanent roles might be rare unless you get placed full-time at a client company. 3. Pay Gaps or Lower Pay Some assignments may pay less than similar full-time positions directly with a company. Raises and promotions are limited unless you move to a permanent client role. 4. Lack of Career Progression As a temp, you may not have clear growth or advancement within Kelly itself.
