Pros

great vacation to accrue. max for you 401k. decent medical benefits at best. maybe a $25 Christmas gift card if CEO says it was a good year.

Cons

inability to stand out as expectations are set beyond your reach. only way to reach your goals is to work off the clock. only way to move up the chain is you know somebody or call in favors, otherwise expect 5-6 years before you are known. nepotism is common within the field level. unprofessional leaders. too many executives bringing in their buddies from other companies. made up departments (aka. MDS) not in touch with the field or superiors, setting their own ground rules based on their cliche of buddies. unreasonable standards with no communication and no clear path on how to succeed in your own capacity. micro managing at its best.

Pros

You have job security even if you are unqualified and incompetent.

Cons

Inappropriate and incompetent managers. No bonuses and salary increases are pretty much non-existent. There are better carriers to work for as house counsel. If you look at other insurance companies and had to classify this company, they would be the odd unpopular dorks in high school

Pros

You can choose whether to start at 6am, 7am or 8am. We were able to work from home for a portion of the pandemic.

Cons

Training is not consistent or thorough, and yet if you make a mistake due to inadequate training, you are reprimanded as though you are a child. Supervisors don't encourage you to meet goals but rather bully you. There is no opportunity for career advancement. Pay is low, and yearly raises (if you get one) are low. If you meet daily goals, you are rewarded with additional work from those who are not meeting their goals. If you do not meet daily goals, you will be tyrannized. Rules change from one day to the next with no consistency, except that you can count on patronizing attitudes from supervisors. While we were able to work from home for a portion of the pandemic, we were unable to continue to work from home despite being successful and able to perform all the functions of the role at home, nor are masks required in office, nor are vaccination required.
