      Pros

      Relaxed atmosphere. No real micro-management. Can work at your own pace. Good flexibility if time off is needed.

      Cons

      Poor financial performance and many layoffs. Morale in office is very low. No attempt by management to bring morale to a higher level. Low morale = poor performance. Pay is not competitive.

      Not a good company to work for

      Pros

      You can move up within the company fairly quickly if there are open positions available. I was able to move up within my first year with the company

      Cons

      The company merged with Unitrin and with this merger there have been numerous layoffs. I personally was not laid off, however within a year there were two layoffs and two offices to close in various states. With the merger this resulted in more customers, however the company did not see fit to hire more employees to handle the increased customer base, instead they laid employees off. With this increased customer base and the lack of employees to service them, this resulted in heavy workload, which resulted in poor customer service and low morale among the employees.
