Pros

Health Insurance is good, but that is all I can say on any pro for the university. Only thing is that the price for insurance goes up quite a bit each year.

Cons

No one at the university cares for anyone but themselves. Professors don't care about their classes and students. Staff could care less about the students or other departments. Everyone and all the departments are very selfish and do not work well together. University is growing too fast and there is no support for the employees or the students.

Pros

Dedicated and competent coworkers, for the most part; great campus atmosphere. Good benefits. Tuition reimbursement for those who qualify. Many fun activities on campus.

Cons

Hard work, or competence, is not rewarded anywhere near adequately. Every year, it's the same old thing from the campus president: "We have to do more with less." Way too many levels of administration, which suck up much of the cash available for raises. Have to get a Master's Degree for any type of promotion in my department, which is ridiculous. ENTIRELY too many layers of supervision/management, most of which are superfluous at best.
