Little or no emphasis on employee development, and middle management struggles to think long-term. Even as sales makes modest improvements, many decisions are based on meeting rushed and semi-arbitrary goals, which causes unnecessary urgency and churn on small projects. Half (!) of the organization has titles of "Manager" or above, but they can struggle to manage their own responsibilities (and don't have reporting employees).
