Pros

Actually 40 hours per week. Work-life balance. Family Friendly opportunities to move between teams are there. At least feasible options.

Cons

Pay is poor. They keep you at about 0.8 for their compensation ratio, which is a standard across other tech companies. We are stuck in the past. Keysight is going downhill as a company. No more innovations and leading the market in their future from what I can see. Our team uses C++98, and works on systems that went obsolete decades ago. Professional development is poor - people here are lazy and don't want to learn. It bothers me to my core. I wish we went on even the most relevant conferences on occasion. The site in Colorado Springs is old and dying.

Pros

Keysight's culture allows for individual contributors to have a lot of autonomy and input at the team level. Benefits are great. A lot of lateral movement within the company is possible and often times encouraged. I definitely can see myself retiring here.

Cons

Pay isn't always the most competitive - had plenty of referral EEs decline jobs due to salary negotiations. Keysight is a massive, global machine and affecting high level change isn't always possible. Have heard bad things about the culture in the global marketing org, but that's definitely the exception.
