Pros

Corporate reach. Probably cheap for businesses to use. No other reason

Cons

THE worst staffing firm to work for as an I.T. consultant. Lowballed up front. Faced with mountains of paperwork and arbitrary deadlines in order to receive benefits at all. Benefits receive are terrible, set up to look decent, but randomly drop coverage and not really cover your needs. Corporate staff structure do not help you, except for one local representative who has no power whatsoever. Deception everywhere, so that things look like they might meet your needs until you need them. NO GOOD.

Pros

This is a good place for "newbies" to learn the ropes. The environment is highly structured, yet unyielding and emulates the high school clicks of days gone by.

Cons

The management is not open to creative ideas and the physical environment is that of a call center. Your calls and their duration are counted, the desks are cramped and the cube separators are less than 8" tall, people face each other while talking on the phone .... after a short while you feel like a sardine and go home with ringing in your ears.

Not a good environment

Pros

Met some good friends. An opportunity for a recent grad to learn about corporate life.

Cons

Degrading and tedious work. They hire driven and intelligent people only to treat them like children while micromanaging 9.5 hrs/day. Management is either so incompetent or fearful for their own jobs that they cannot possibly make good decisions. If you choose to pursue a career in staffing, look into a smaller firm where you will not be treated like a mindless cold-calling machine. Kforce has burned bridges with nearly every major client in my area so there is nearly no opportunity for success. (Other markets may vary). This review may sound a bit harsh but it is an accurate review of my experiences as well as those of many co-workers. It is only based on my experiences in my market. Other markets could be great.
