Pros
Kforce has a lot of opportunities to push you out of your comfort zone and get you more comfortable with building your professional network as a recruiter (or account manager). In any job dealing with people there will be ups and downs. I currently have VERY supportive leadership that I can go to with questions, concerns, and updates.
Throughout the pandemic I’ve been very impressed with the amount of thought and care they have put towards the future of the workplace. We are still working remotely and they have made it where going forward we will continue to be “remote first” with the option of in office for team building, training, etc.
I’ve been able to build strong relationship and trust with the other recruiters and AMs. We work to build each other up, however, there are times when you will have tough conversations with one another.
PTO is generous - 17 days plus paid holidays to start.
Over the past couple years Kforce has really shifted to a “work life” balance. If I ever need a day off or feeling sick, I’m never guilted by management.
You have to have a “work hard” mentality to be successful here. There are daily metrics you are expected to meet and although management/your team try and be supportive, you have to hold yourself accountable. If you cannot keep up with the metrics, eventually this will not pan out long term.
Commission is very good! It can take a little while to get ramped up but after some time it’s rewarding. The harder you work the better commission you’ll see.
There are training modules and a lot of shadowing when you start. You have to be comfortable asking questions and reaching out to people. You will learn the job better as you go. Especially in a remote environment, training is always going to be a little tougher to grasp.
Also, keep in mind in staffing you’re not always working 8-5. You will at times have to put in extra hours and when you’re dealing with people, there’s always going to be some issues, coaching, and discussions involved.
Cons
metrics can be very challenging at times to meet daily/weekly
Although commission is generous, there are not many opportunities that your base pay is increased.
At times can feel a little micro-managing when working with certain account managers. However, overall your day is what you make it.
