Pros

It's a little more relaxed and lenient on clock in and clock out times. So you can work longer or shorter days if needed without approval as long as you're not on a specific shift. Usually the people you work with are actually really nice and relaxed.

Cons

You are a contract worker. You do not enjoy the same benefits as the company you actually work for. As far as HP Corvallis, that means 4 furloughs and finally a layoff in roughly 1 year. KForce says that they'll do everything they can to keep you on, but they won't. In addition, they pride themselves as "Try it before you buy it" and say that there's room to get hired on to the actual company you're working for. It's a flat-out lie, and there is no room for professional development, or wage growth for that matter. I was capped out at $20/hr, and that was considered high, as only 2 people I met made more ($22/hr because of supervisor positions). Due to the low pay, they have high turnover (~6-12 months is the average length someone stays I would say). They also do not follow up if you have concerns or issues about your assignment. Finally, their pay schedule is weekly, so health/dental/benefits are stupid expenses (up to 1/3 of your paycheck after taxes for a single person with no dependents).

Pros

The only pros about this job are SOME of the people. I met some of my best friends here. At this time, none of us are with the company anymore

Cons

Where to start- I had a VP tell me that if I don't have children, there's no reason for me to not be online until 8-9pm everyday. They thrive on the grind mentality. There is no work life balance. You are expected to give your cell phone number out to clients, take them to dinner and HH and give your evenings away. They claim they are fully remote but there is immense pressure to be in the office, in client's offices, and out on the road. KPIs are tracked religiously but if you have tenure you have a lot of leeway on what you can do. New hires- run the other way. I was with the company for almost 2 years. They swore up and down I would make so much money after 6-8 months and that was not the case at all. Starting salary range for this role is 50k-60k so if you can live on that a year in a major metropolitan area then maybe this is the job for you.The only good thing is the network this job helps you get from employees who leave (there is an incredibly high turnover rate) and from clients who you make relationships with. The toxic environment is also deepened with the "staffing isnt for everyone" mentality. When someone leaves, thats all they will tell you. Making it seem like they wouldnt handle this environment but in reality it is a toxic work environment and culture. If someone is fired, they are vague and try to do damage control. Good luck.
