Pros

the patients and some of the nursing staff.

Cons

upper management intentionally overlooking the real issues and failing to attempt to correct them and use them in a positive way, rather than destroying someone's livelihood because they have the authority to do so. the corrective action policy sucks. if you are accused of something, the accuser is not identified and the accused is labeled as a trouble maker and the false complaints become more fierce to the point where the accused is either fired or quit.the open door policy applies only to certain ones and others who use the open door policy are subject to being harassed if you don't abide by their rules and not Kindred's rules. when you are written up for false accusations, you are also refused a copy, whether you sign or not. when you refuse to sign, you are refused a copy and that copy is later rewritten to make it appear that you are the problem maker.

Pros

Great experiences to learn new skills There are some great people that work in the company.

Cons

District and Regional staff are out of touch and sometimes very nasty. They do not objectively review issues. They were a much better as a smaller company. Patient care is not a high priority anymore. The just want all the business.

Pros

You get a paycheck every 2 weeks

Cons

After reading many of these reviews it sounds like most Kindred facilities are the same, which is unfortunate. I understand this is a business, but a hospital should not be driven by profits. We are dealing with people's lives, and it's not something to be taken lightly. I have experienced things here, that I never expected to see happen in a hospital setting, things that should never happen in a hospital setting. Kindred excels at finding the worst managers. I'm pretty sure they must hire them from Craigslist. They are incompetent, and have no idea how to connect with employees. At least 50 people have quit since I have been working here, and I haven't even been here that long. The benefits, if you can call them that, are preposterous. I would rather not have insurance than pay $400 a month for nothing. Pretty much every day that I go to work I hope to be fired, so I can get unemployment. There are no bonuses, no matching on 401, and really no rewards of any kind. There really is no incentive to do a good job.
