Pros

Great pay and benefits and pension. Can move around departments and plenty of room to make money.

Cons

Dissatisfied with they way a government agency who talks so much about diversity and inclusion yet when looking at diversity on the pay scale you won’t find it.

Pros

Fairly stable work environment compared to other organizations. Good healthcare program. Good retirement program. The overall King County organization provides many excellent and critically needed services to the public.

Cons

Tech workers have limited tools and many roadblocks trying to provide functionality for a large and complex organization with multiple lines of business. Even when tools are implemented, they are often less than adequate for the organization's scale and needs. Too often technical expertise is ignored by managers who think they know better. The result is a lot of unnecessary frustration for internal and public customers.
