Pros

They are good at working with school, and rather decent at giving you certain days off if needed. But that depends on who your manager is, mine does good with that. My manager has always been pretty good at working with times that work for the employees. Remember, this depends on the manager.

Cons

Horrible pay, you'll be in poverty unless you get into management or you stick it out in certain departments for a long long time, and it is very hard to become a full time employee, you will most likely have a schedule that is all over the place and alot of the time won't even get up to 30 hours. The store I am at is very by the book, I am not sure if they all are but this one is all over every policy like god wrote it. You never seem to be able to go fast enough for them, they always want more more more and it eventually begins to degrade in your moral.

Pros

Head Clerks and Service managers are great. I have worked for three different King Soopers in my 4 years there. Once you get into Assistant Manger and Store manager, it is like a different world. They have Corporate so far up their ass, they forget respect for the real workers who make King Soopers possible. Walking into the store, everyone is tense. They point out "That sale sign is too far left. Move it an inch" or something absurd.

Cons

Promotions. the ass kisser gets them. Don't matter how hard you work. How well you please the guest. Seems to me (male worker), that young skinny females get the managers promotions. Don't believe me? Go around any King Soopers where the store manager is a Male and see for yourself.

Pros

Decent people and I personally like working nights

Cons

They're trying to be Walmart, and you can't do that with the Union on your back, so the lower you are on the chain the more pressure to be more than what is healthy for a body.
