Pros

Pros Include: Remote work, & free lunch during training. Also, the guarunteed Pay the first couple months in Training of $100K.

Cons

So many Cons: Base pay is low at $40K. They will overpay you and expect you to owe back money. Micromanagement is a huge one. They will micromanage you to death on Call Stats & Email stats. Every single thing you do on the clock is monitoried and recorded. The Unlimited PTO is very limited with lots of rules around it. They are unconcerned if you have life events (sick children, time off to enroll your kid in school). I once had a manager call me 6X in one day to micromanage me. I only lasted 9 months, and left as soon as I could. My advice for anyone interviewing at Knowbe4? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

Hello. Unless there was a significant payroll error, there is no scenario where we would ask a Knowster for money back from their pay. Our sales calls are recorded to make sure our customers are getting the best service possible, as most companies do. We don’t have unlimited PTO, but we do have an open PTO policy where it is up to manager's discretion if your PTO is approved. It’s still expected that you give ample notice for PTO to be approved. There is no situation where a manager would disapprove of PTO for an employee to handle a sick child. We know these things come up and are uncontrollable. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Unlimited PTO. Good product to work with.

Cons

All this org does is lie. They preached at us for months that they are “radically transparent” and there would be no layoffs, and then did just that and have been incredibly cowardly in not addressing it and pretending it didn’t happen. They are forcing RTO, regardless of your contract and ignoring their own policies. Yet, tell us they are “strictly” enforced. These policies only serve to benefit their beloved Scientologists. This org is rooted in Scientology rhetoric and it is incredibly concerning. They tell us how great we’re doing and have high sales goals, yet cut our pay, employees, and increased the work load. They also preach about the customer experience but their actions show they could care less and it’s all about the money. I imagine more layoffs will be coming. Stay away from this organization.

Hello. First and foremost, we have a very strict no religion and no politics policy at KnowBe4. Our policies and procedures are standard business practices that most global technology companies adhere to. We do indeed pride ourselves on radical transparency and have done our best to keep all Knowsters in the loop of company-wide changes that are happening. We are undergoing restructuring to align with our new go-to-market strategy. This included increased compensation plans across the board, especially for our customer-facing Knowsters. It also required restructuring certain areas to ensure the best customer experience. If you have special circumstances that prevent you from being able to return to the office on a hybrid work schedule, please get in touch with our People Operations team to ensure proper accommodations are made.

Pros

The company culture is great. You don't feel like your being micro managed and can mostly work how you want to work, with some exceptions of course. Managers are great, but your mileage may vary. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Pay is decent, but recently we were told that there will be no cost of living adjustments even considering the organization is making more money than they have ever made. This is called greed. On top of this, there is concern that our bonuses which is the only thing that make up for the lack of pay might be going away next year. I guess this is what happens when a good company gets bought out and your CEO no longer cares; they slowly take your benefits away and hope that most people don't notice before its all gone. Benefits are essentially non-existent at this point. Health insurance is expensive and the free tier is horrible, even for a single person. They claim that this will improve next year, but I doubt it. In 2022, we had great insurance, great bonuses, career coaches, and just good benefits overall like free massages, free haircuts, etc. All that went away slowly throughout 2023. I am sure it will all be gone in 2024.

Hi Knowster. We understand and share your concerns regarding the announcement that there will be no cost of living adjustments in January as there have been in previous years. In these challenging economic times, our decision does not reflect any lack of appreciation for our employees’ hard work and dedication. The global economic landscape has presented unforeseen challenges, and we want to assure you that we are doing everything within our means to preserve as many benefits as possible while navigating these uncertain times. Stu also announced that we are 100% continuing the monthly bonus plan in 2024. Our health insurance has many different tiers to select from based on our varied employee needs, and we benchmark all tiers to industry standards for companies our size to ensure competitiveness. Healthcare costs continue to rise by double digits percentages every year, and we have not increased rates on our premiums. In fact, we lowered family premiums by over 30% in 2023. Our insurance plans have not changed since 2022 outside of adding another tier so that people could elect for an HSA which was driven by overwhelming suggestions from the employee base so we definitely welcome suggestions. We will continue to work with our insurance carriers to maximize coverage at the best price as we head into 2024. Your well-being and job security remain top priorities for us, and we appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented circumstances.
