Pros

The new Fishers HQ office is very nice. Glossing over real issues and pretending a pinball machine will truly retain your employees... not so much! I worked with some kind, quality people over my time there, ALL of whom have now left the company.....

Cons

KS' HQ is gaslight central. The toxic positivity is unbearable. All levels of management will smile and throw around "family" and "upcoming opportunities" as if any of it is actually true. Meanwhile, they deny TINY raises, stifle growth, and ignore all problems brought to their attention. There are no options for advancing, they will label ANY role change as a "lateral move" so they do not have to increase your pay. A "family" won't shame you for having casual conversations with coworkers, micromanage your work, and hawk-eye your time in/ out. As a salaried employee, the "flexibility" is really not on your own accord... Not to mention pay is SO low and unfair. Others in the same tier of my team were making all different amounts that clearly did not align with tenure/ the role/ anything. If you get any kind of promo, they will use that increase as an excuse to skip your next annual raise anyway! Feedback is discouraged. Proposed changes or concerns were viewed as spreading negativity / badmouthing about the company. You are made to feel terrible about yourself for being "greedy" by even asking in a place that claims to care about you. It felt that lower level management would not truly pass q's and concerns up to exec, ignoring any change employees desired. The "mission" of KS is to serve others, however, as a recruiter, I felt awful about offering such low wages to candidates and we passed along their feedback often. Hiring people for below a livable wage by essentially pretending it would be great for them eventually made me feel too sick to stay. I have never worked with such an unapproachable HR team. They are not welcoming, cold, and have a rep of being rude. Nepotism leaders are a great way to block any real complaints coming through - i.e. Fox News playing for the entire office EVERY DAY FOR YEARS, sexism, etc. There is a clear lack of prioritizing diversity and inclusion. It's disappointing but unsurprising that these reviews prove a year later how bad it still is at HQ. I'm glad others are calling KS out and LinkedIn shows someone else leaving for a new company weekly.... High turnover. They hire new grads so they can pay a little and gaslight a lot. Only takes a year or two to realize they should get out!

Pros

Nice new office space, some cool people

Cons

This place is such a disappointment to me. I was wowed by the nice office and all the smoke they blew on my first couple of days. Not long after a few months you’ll see, hear, and maybe experience the realities of this place. They treat employees so poorly, but talk about how they are family. They will plan a pizza party every month but won’t address why their HR management and workers tear employees down, why they are allowed to make fun of employees’ appearance/age/clothing, how they discriminate, and insult employees. They have been accused of stealing commission, sharing confidential employee information, and other terrible things. No one trusts this place and I’ve never experienced such unprofessionalism and downright disrespectful behavior from any management team, let alone HR- the team who should support you. I know for a fact they write fake reviews and laugh about it to employees. They are the real joke. They will cheat you out of any PTO or raises they can by presenting loopholes in the system. Women are penalized by maternity leave, so you don’t get a raise if you take maternity leave. Sounds very family oriented if you ask me. They are so old school they still think calling employees “family” is a compliment or good thing. So out of touch with reality because they live in a bubble of their own little KS world. Don’t work here if you are a professional and serious about your career. They will waste your time and offer a terrible working culture and environment. A highly petty and untrustworthy company.

Amazing Place to Work

Pros

I've been with Knowledge Services for quite a while and still love everything about it. Sure, as with anything, there have been ups and downs, but the good has always outweighed the bad. From the moment I started working here, I've felt a sense of belonging. People from other reviews have mentioned that having so much family within the company is a bad thing, but that is one of my favorite things about the company. With no relation, they still welcome each employee as if they are part of the family. I spend a majority of my days at work, and it is nice to be surrounded by coworkers that work hard, want to help make the company better, all while having fun. Some of my coworkers have even become my closest friends. Furthermore, aside from the great people, there are many other great benefits working at KS - monthly celebrations of birthdays, work anniversaries, new babies, weddings, etc.., coffee machines in the office, baby on board program, provided snacks, floating holidays, birthday and anniversary PTO, a gym with all the amenities, beautiful workspace, just to name a few. Outside of the everyday perks, we have amazing events such as the Chili Cook Off, Day of ThanKS, and Breakfast with Santa. Lastly, I feel lucky to have a woman CEO to look up to. She truly cares about each one of us, is a hard-working mother, and a role model to all.

Cons

I've had some frustrations with new managers coming in just because they know someone higher up, with no explanation as to why promoting from within wasn't considered. With that aside, there are many great managers that work in each of the departments. There have been times that I feel like my loyalty hasn't been appreciated but I'm quickly reminded in different ways that it is. The salaries could definitely be better to compared to others in similar roles, but there are other benefits that help compensate for that with KS. The work from home policy of working 2 designated days at home has gotten better but would still like an additional day to work from home if we choose.
