Thank you for your years of service with Koelsch Communities. It is nice to hear that your community is uplifting, rewarding, has good job security and educational. We agree that the job can be physically demanding and that growth opportunities can be stagnant at times. One area we are always working towards is spotlighting new roles and positions. Please reach out to your Executive Director and let her know that you are interested in growing with Koelsch Communities and build a plan together.

Pros

Your fellow co workers are the most delightful people you will EVER meet! It is what will make you want to go to work everyday.

Cons

Management is given a very low budget, that makes it really hard to have what you need for your job, it also drags down morale.

We respect both our full-time and part-time staff equally and appreciate your feedback. We love to hear that your co-workers were delightful and that you were able to create solid relationships. The culture of Koelsch Senior Communities is remarkable and something that we take pride in and try to build upon continually. It is true that each department is responsible for managing their budgets, and we feel this process encourages community ownership. The Director of Resident Services is responsible for the available resources in your community, and we hope that you spoke to her about the limited supplies. We are always looking for ways to empower our staff and appreciate teams in new and innovative ways, and we are sorry that morale was low. Thank you for your time with us, and we wish you the best in your next position.

Pros

Generally nice people. Learn a lot from others

Cons

Caregivers get all the attention. Most of them are lazy and it sucks having to instruct them when they are in your kitchen as they don't believe it is part of their job when it actually is.

We appreciate your years of service with Koelsch Senior Communities and that your overall experience with the staff and residents was favorable. We also agree that the team in the kitchen, as well as the majority of the community, is very tenured and willing to share their best practices. Working in an environment that encourages job training and education is important to the leadership team. We are sorry about your experiences with some staff members who do not understand another department’s overlapping job functions. Training and development between departments and creating an atmosphere of mutual respect are important to us and an area we will focus on in future training sessions. We wish you the best of luck in your career.
