Hours are contingent on credit sales. Setting record highs doesn't matter if you can't keep that number day after day. Store closes could mean staying 2-3 hours after hours because those departments were just coming in for a paycheck. Even these cons not that bad. No real chance for advancement, not really competitive pay. Inconsistent hours. Registers are often broken and card scanning machines would take months to be repaired, leaving customers unable to work with credit cards.

There are, however, several cons. First and foremost, I'm suppose to get two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Well, I never do get my second 15-minute break. My supervisor has zero personalty. She might say a grand total of a couple of sentences to me during my 7.5-hour shift. In fact, none of my co-workers say much either. They all seem disgruntled, too. Working third shift, you are stuck inside the building. You can't leave at all. The break room is tiny and cramped. The chairs they have seem like ones at a middle school cafeteria. And the break room itself is dirty and disgusting. Hate putting my food in the refrigerators there because they look like they haven't been cleaned out in years.
