Pros

They care a lot about philanthropy and have a wide range of job titles to move around if you'd like change.

Cons

Their New York office is filled with a lot of gossip / petty back talking, making it hard to focus on the product.

Pros

I enjoyed working with my coworkers and receiving benefits along with employee discounts.

Cons

The management was terrible. They simply care about the sales they get and how many people sign up for a Kohl's credit card. They don't acknowledge employees who genuinely care about the work they do. There are a few managers who care, but only 1 or 2.

Pros

They work with my availability schedule that I gave them when I was hired

Cons

I was asked to "knock that stuff off" when I was being friendly as a line greeter during the holidays. YES I was pulled aside and told I was not being aggressive enough to ask customers for credit as they approached me. Now imagine this. It's the holiday season and the store is packed. You are shopping and need help with something. The floor associate is supposed to solicit credit after assisting the customer. Then there are credit greeting associates throughout the store who will try and solicit credit if you walk past them. Then the line greeter (if there is one) will ask you. Then finally the cashier will. Because I'm a POS associate 95% of the time also, I was told that if a customer says no once, you have to ask again, and again. A told of THREE times. Spend enough time in there and you will probably be asked 6 times to open a credit card. I have been scolded and threatened to take away hours for not soliciting enough credit. It is miserable. Floor associates never want to deal with the cashiers issues with price checks and whatnot, but we can't leave the register. 80% of kohls customers already have a credit card with us. It is difficult to make credit like they want us to. Working here is never a winning situation. The only time I feel good about the job I'm doing is when a customer recognizes how important their satisfaction is to me.
