Pros

One of the best things about working at the store I did was they were willing to give me more hours and train me in different areas when I asked them to. They were really flexible with my schedule and I felt like my opinion mattered to my managers.

Cons

Lower pay, even if you move up the ladder.

Pros

Kohl's is always willing to award you for doing a great job whether it be by just helping out a fellow associate, a customer with a difficult question, or by getting better in a certain area such as credit or email sign ups. My favorite thing about Kohl's has been the managers I work for a Kohl's that is in the top 10 of the company. With that rank comes great management who are not only focused on their customers and goals, but also on helping their employees better themselves and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am a college student who came home looking for a summer job. Kohl's hired me, even though I was potentially leaving in the fall. As I began to hone my skills at getting credit card applications, they started to let me know that I was a valued employee that they wanted to keep. I found out that Kohl's has a program for college students where you can work as little as once every 90 days, but still be employed and get hours during breaks. I have never heard of a company who is so flexible and caring. Kohl's has really allowed me to focus on school while still knowing I have a job to go home to.

Cons

The only con that I have seen so far is that at times we are understaffed. These makes those busy times very, very difficult. I understand that Kohl's can not predict the exact busy days, but I wish they would keep some people on call just in case they are needed so that the rest of us aren't struggling through the day.

Pros

POS position (Cashier) @ Kol's is a good job to start in the workplace. They could be flexible to work with your schedule. You get 15% off employee discount which you can combine with the % off you get for having the Kohls Charge and any clearence or sale price.

Cons

Minimum wage, not good. If you work overnight shift you get pay a bit more.
