Pros

Paid Holidays and Vacation; 401K availability, 2 Personal Days, Limited Health plans available, work with a team of the same people giving you familiarity and friendliness.

Cons

Putting up with unrealistic goals set up by management; working in less than ideal condition on the dock - cramped space, cold in Winter, hot in summer. Having numerous managerial changes and then working within each one's "new" ideas.

Pros

They'll take anybody. If you desperately need money, apply here.

Cons

They'll take anybody. Interview process is insulting and meant to reduce you to being just another replaceable cog in their money machine. Pathetic pay with completely irrational and unrealistic expectations of performance. Cliques and favoritism. Open resentment and hostility from permanent, long-term, full-time employees towards temporary, part-time holiday hires. Zero training, zero communication, zero responsibility for either. Hours/days availability completely ignored by scheduler. Forced to take breaks with "your group" instead of when you actually need a break - eating your meal only 90 minutes after clocking in, then being made to stand and work (much of it consisting of lifting heavy boxes and stock) in a hot, dry store for 6 hours straight with NO water, food or restroom breaks without a manager's permission. Managers are never to be found. WAY to much stock comes in every few days and there's no place to put it - store is a perpetual mess, and It's only made worse by greedy, ungrateful, non-stop chaos-creating jerk customers.

Pros

Decent employee discount. Nice break room.

Cons

NO work life balance because the work hours are inconsistent. You will work until 11:30pm and be back to work by 7:30am. Super low pay scale with high expectations. Yearly reviews are a joke. Was given a great evauation but it had to be changed because the manager is not allowed to give out evaluations that have the highest marks. I was told there is a scale that must be followed and a lot of the evaluations had to be changed to follow company protocol. So, my evaluation was tweaked to reflect company protocol and my scores were lowered slightly.....but I wasn't supposed to tell you that. The manager told me I shouldn 't have been told about that policy but I guess it slipped out.. POOR training...basically thrown to the wolves. No communication between management and associates. If you are a mind reader you will excel. Made to take verbal abuse from customers with a smile. Whatever the customer wants they get because they say so. No support for individual departments from management. Female management goes to lunch together and leaves an associate in the manage'ssupervisor's role while they eat. Associates not all treated th same. FAVORTISM!
