Pros

Salary is good Team members are like family

Cons

Store payroll unrealistic to have such high result expectations. No work/life balance for executives. Expected to work on days off and comp days No comp days given for working extra days Work 10-14 days in a row without any time off Too much pressure put to produce credit/rewards Store Managers it in office and don't help team. They expect ASM's to do all the work and they get all the credit.

Pros

Honestly, there is no good reason to work at Kohl's. They stick you somewhere by yourself and expect way too much of you. You don't NEARLY get paid enough for the amount of work you have to do and are expected to. The time they give you for breaks suck, and you rarely get to take them. Yet, if you say you don't when you clock out you get in trouble with upper management. (I never did because I always lied and said I took it, because I saw a co-worker after they had 'talked' to her about it and she was very, very upset.)

Cons

This is my experience. I'm sure it varies depending on the store. They hire you, brush lightly over training and basically toss you face first out on the sales floor (I was in home and kids). My Kohl's had two levels. The bottom was Jewelry, Women's, Men's, Juniors, Athletic, purses, etc. Sure, that's a lot but the lower floor is just as big as the upper one. It's a lot to keep track of. They have a lot of help/floor associates on the lower floor... and guess how many for the upper one? Just me. All alone, most days, by myself. Customers want help, managers want you to keep everything clean and presentable. Please, tell me how to split myself into five to do all the things you want me to. Did you forget what it was like to be in my position?

Pros

The only reason to work there would probably be the people you get to work with. Some of the managers are okay but a few of them are downright terrible.

Cons

Mostly everything about working at Kohl's or any retailer is an 'all con' job. If you're not used to people getting in your face and being rude as all get out, it's not the place for you.
