Pros

- Developers (the largest group) work in small, close teams, have clear and direct reports and mentors - always have someone to talk to and learn from - Power hours for staff means we're always learning something new and cool, taught by peers - *Many* arranged social events (often fully subsidized), team lunches on Fridays, skiing trips, lots of fun! - Wide variety of (very important) clients and projects means you're always being challenged and learning - Great employee onboarding experience and benefits (gym membership in the building, vacation, health etc.) - Surrounded by incredibly smart and fun people at all job levels

Cons

- Not really a con but, projects often move quite quickly so you need to be on the ball

Pros

Projects - good variety, tight deadlines but that's the reality of the industry. Lots of opportunities to learn. Good valuable feedback... Sometimes harsh but this is expected People - real friendly people from all offices. Peers within and outside of the design team are welcoming. One design lead is especially caring and goes out of her way to make sure her team delivers good work and that everyone is well taken care of. Good person to look to when CD is absent or busy Social - lots of team outings, games, drinks nights. Really embrace 'work hard play hard' idea Food - you will never go hungry or thirsty here

Cons

Working hours - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m for FT designers.. No 'summer hours.'.. Politics - occasionally project manager oversteps and rants about CD and managers when they are away... Unhealthy and creates too office drama, affects others and creates toxic environment On-boarding - hard to know how company works and learn way around teams... Start buddy system for new employees?

Pros

It's easily one of the better places I've worked at. It's an agency so you're looking at a lot of different projects with the turnaround time being anywhere from a few months to doing maintenance for years (although I think they've scraped most of those longer contracts). You'll get a lot of exposure to different technologies and libraries working here. They stay up to date on new tech and aren't afraid to use whatever framework or tools that'll make their jobs/lives easier. It's a work hard, play hard mentality so they're also foosball masters, and drinking champs.

Cons

It can be difficult to figure out your place at the company, be prepared to deal with ambiguity. That's not to say that career growth isn't possible, you'll either have to work hard and produce results or go out of your way to carve out a career path with the CTO. It's moving into more of a corporate vibe with Deloitte having some influence on KG. HR can be an issue sometimes, but the CTO is receptive to feedback.
