Pros

The managers won't fire you if you slip up because they need the warm bodies to do the work. It's too much effort for them to hire and train a replacement.

Cons

No DEI here. All one race. I was an anomaly color-wise, so I appeared to be, There was a lot of malicious gossip about everyone at the store and about myself. No one works; they stand around talking, Coworkers who had been there longer than others would either 1) bully the other, newer coworkers, 2) take 45-minute to 1-hour breaks without clocking out, making it harder on the coworkers who have to do the lazy person's work for them, and 3) managers and employees alike have reverse racial bias at this location. Sorry to say, but it's true. You're here on Glassdoor for a reason: and I'm fulfilling that reason by being forthcoming and honest; that's what this Glassdoor site is for.

Pros

• pandemic pay • pandemic benefits (tuition)

Cons

• management had me closed another department alone, no training • worked as a manger, no training • management had me working in +5 departments in one day, couldn’t finish my own work • management instructed me to damage out good product to fit new ones but still talked about shrink • short staffed but would still pull for other departments or send them home • click list wouldn’t shut off, orders would back up for hours • only closing cashier as a relief cashier • minors having to clean broken glass and sometimes biohydrous material, no scissor or box cutter use • unpaid, overworked

Pros

Air-conditioned, The customers in general are pretty nice. Normally easy to get personal days and movie days off around though this can heavily depend on your seniority and your department manger

Cons

There are no incentives beyond promotions. The first promotion two a department backup is only 50 cents. To me it always felt less like a skill thing and more like a willing to work overtime position. The objectives have never been clearly laid out to me. Communication between management team is minim and tends to be frustrating. (Q Hey what's going on with X A non of your business. Next day I'm asked if I have extra skills to help with issue X) You work all holidays and all week ends. Overtime is rarely planned out even when its need is obvious. Staff are forced out of their department during a shift so that click list can maintain itself. Expect your work hours and days to change a few times a year. Inconsistent workhours and days despite nothing changing.
