Pros

Not sure if my experience was the same as others because I was hired by a manager who I already knew and she was brought over from another major corporation, but I was paid well and left to do my job remotely without a manager wanting my butt in a seat to prove I can work.

Cons

They try to sell themselves as different than IBM or other older more established corporations but the reality is they took a bunch of IBM old guard and moved them over so a lot of the backdoor dealings are the same. I found upper management to be less than forthright which is expected but not only that they downright lied to hundreds of us for months before we were finally given a measly 2 weeks notice. They prefer offshore Costa Rica or India workers because they are cheaper even if it means a lower quality of work or that others have to do rework.

Toxic managers and CYA culture

Pros

It's remote and you get health insurance.

Cons

Do not work here if you are UX. No resources or budget or processes. No access to users. Bringing up limitations gets you blamed for making excuses. Managers and PMs do the bare minimum and are rarely available. When they are, you get told to try harder or nothing can be done so suck it up. Very hostile and toxic communication styles. Super high turnover. The longest employees are either the managers who do no work and have the little guys to blame, or little guys who are in a binding contract rather than FTE. No one feels safe bringing up issues because they know they'll be met with a hostile or accusatory response. Management is literally delusional and claims there are no issues and believe the high turnover is due to anything but them. We work with a lot of teams in India and closed-door conversations are dehumanizing and exploitative of real employees. Please avoid at all cost for your mental health or have a exit strategy in place.

Pros

great salary great benefits work from home

Cons

lack of leadership The company put me on the bench because the Team Leader of the team I was working on found out how much I was making and then wanted me off the team. HE is a small leader The company keeps pumping out information about all the new contracts they are winning, but they are billing company is not hiring people for these roles, they are having employees split their time between projects, all while billing employees as full time. Large Health care systems that work with Kyndryl should be aware of this. They are over paying sometimes twice what they should be The team leaders and managers that they have in place want to be treated like we are thankful to work for them. Once Kyndryl has a big lay off cycle, we will see how the stock price sinks. They are holding onto a lot of us until the end of the 2nd fiscal year so they can bump stock prices and say 'we haven't had major layoffs' but their time is coming..
