Pros

The people who are there and not senior management level are great to work with and overall nice people. Large public company that comes with great experience.

Cons

Senior management does not care about employees, and that is made clear in how every situation is handled, including the recent lay offs. Not family oriented, no flexibility. Must work 8-5 and absolutely no working from home. Very old-school mentality due to Japanese influence that is very resistant to change. Aging workforce due to pension plan and inability to attract and keep top talent. Compensation is below average, and promotions are few and far between. Not a lively or happy work environment. No women in leadership positions that I can recall. Very behind in comparison to other companies in respect to culture, environment, and benefits.

Pros

Tight control (but not really micromanagement) from management really pushed me to improve myself both professionally and personally.

Cons

My personal manager was incredibly small minded and thought himself better than most because he went to some prestigious school in Japan that I had never heard of. Expect to work from 7:30am to midnight at least 5 days a week, most Sunday's included another 2-4hrs of work. Each Kyocera company is purposefully not sharing information/R&D/clients with each other due to sever silo-like competition between each subsidiary company - such that KICC would rather loose a potential client that it could not produce for rather than pass them on to another branch (such as KAI) who could have completed the client's request.

Pros

Offered a hybrid work schedule.

Cons

Unsupportive and disruptive senior management. Involvement was inconsistent and created a clique-like environment among management and where the constant interference with the daily operation provided instability and an inability to direct staff and attention to pressing financial matters. Woefully understaffed for the responsibilities at hand.
