Pros

The people here are enjoyable to work with and the team is mostly composed of young individuals. The external benefits are also quite nice.

Cons

I was assigned to a team with poor management that heavily micromanages. The higher executives consist mostly of yes-men, leading to an overwhelming workload and little time for training. The internal processes are cumbersome and involve many steps, making them time-consuming and inefficient. As a result, more time is spent navigating these processes than on actual coding and development. It is extremely time-consuming. The base salary is low and below the market average for software engineers. There are few opportunities for promotion. Additionally, you often get assigned tasks that are not aligned with your position and are above your pay grade.

Pros

(Note: Pros and cons depend on which team you're assigned to.) - Great environment, most people even from other departments are approachable. - Good team members. - Okay benefits. - Good for gaining professional experience for fresh graduates. - Flexible/Hybrid setup is good. - Job stability.

Cons

- There are toxic managers/seniors; micromanagement. - There are employees who are being overworked/overloaded with high-priority tasks when there is clearly a lack in manpower (due to high turnover rate as well) or inserting tasks. - Expect additional work given out of the job description. Even if a multi-job role is offered, the promotion requirements are strict/increase is still low. - Little to no career growth. Stack/technologies are dated, no opportunities for learning newer tech. - For the amount of work given, increase/average pay is low.
