Pros

There is a great opportunity to help people. The agency has a long history of servicing the community and many of the employees are committed to helping children and families.

Cons

The pay is horrible for most except the executives at the top. Employees with decades of experience and dedication making not much more than their starting salaries. The building conditions are disgraceful. True leadership and vision nonexistent. If not for IL state contracts... LCFS would be a a thing of the past.

Work is rewarding, good relationships with kids, feel like you're making a difference, good experience for social service field work

Cons

Not knowing your schedule or which group of kids you'll be working with, seems somewhat disorganized and communication seems difficult as a new employee
