Pros

Really, none. Unless you count the total lack of leadership and supervision which allows employees to do whatever they'd like.

Cons

Very low pay. No leadership or supervision. No training. Expectations are not made clear until they are not met. Huge caseloads. High expectations from state that are impossible to meet and never communicated to employees.

They support children in need

Cons

Staff are overworked and underpaid. They pay no attention to foster parents and offer no support. Most foster parents leave after their first case, not because of a child. Not because of the staff. Children are displaced by a ‘game’ of favorites and maybe donors (that part is unclear). They should not be trusted with our States children. Staff and all about us like we are trash offering nothing to help foster parents or biological parents succeed.

Good learning experience if you are skilled at teaching yourself, some coworkers are amazing, opportunity to help clients.

Cons

Unorganized, little training, minimal oversight, direction or supervision, things change constantly with little notice, caseloads are too high to get all the work done in the expected timelines, pay is OK at best, benefits are expensive, work/life balance is difficult to maintain with workload and turnover.
