Pros

LGI Homes is an amazing company, upper leadership is very knowledgeable of the industry and know the ins and outs of success. This company has the core values we are all expecting in a destination job or career. They will provide the best training available for a positive sales career. Corporate is located in Houston, Tx.. Great training and very life balance goal oriented. Great compensation opportunity. If you love helping people achieve the American dream of homeownership, this is the place to get involved and make a much higher than average income in time.

Cons

Those upper Texas leadership individuals are NOT aware of the extremely cutthroat cliquish environment at some community offices. By far this was the most hostile environment ever experienced in my 16 years as a successful professional. The toxic sales employees and managers are aloud to cut any throat of a fellow sales consultant that display the ability to over achieve. Management considers this a "competitive spirit". I call it corporate bullying at a local level resulting in poor morale, reduction in business growth, poor company reputation potential, counter productivity and finally loss of great sales producing talent. Toxic people can be coached and corrected by leadership that poses the core values produced by the founder and co-founders of this great company. Top producing or standard producing toxic employees can be managed out the door if appropriate behavior and professionalism is not accomplished. LGI is a great company but not everywhere. Plus your savings can take a beating so prepare on 6-9 months before seeing the income desired.
