      Pros

      Good company. Great benefits. Great pay. Good vacation. Some management is under trained due to being associate degree nurses, but if you learn to just do your job you will be fine.

      Cons

      some branches have managers that have no business or educational background. So managing people is not their thing. Having an RN manage PTs and OTs is crazy due to the fact that they have double to triple the education that RNs do. But you do get to work independently for the most part which is a plus.

      Pros

      Wonderful, caring clinical staff who put patients first. Ability to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

      Cons

      Terrible management in local office. Administrator has no clue how to do her job, and has no interest in learning. While clinical staff work hard all day, administrator, plays on cell phone, watches Facebook videos, and yells for office staff from her chair. Heartlite hospice is a new acquisition for LHC, and so far this office is crumbling fast, yet LHC doesn't seem to care.

      Pros

      Great pay. Stable case load and then some. Company car (employee paid $75 per pay period). Home care home base documentation. Schedule flexible at times (when census is low)

      Cons

      Less than par insurance. Extremely rural/dangerous area. too large of a service area (7 counties). Not enough staff for census. No prn staff to help when need off. Poor management on several levels. This company or I should say branch is all about numbers not patient care and needs. No incentives or bonuses no matter how good you do. Have to wear same color uniform daily.
