Pros

The solutions they offer clients, great salary and commissions.

Cons

High school cliquey mentality amongst employees, if your face doesn't fit they will let you know you don't belong and ostracise you.

Good experience of what to avoid in a career

Pros

Some friendly people, especially new people. A smaller portion of long standing colleagues are friendly or competent.

Cons

After 3 years there, what seems most unfortunate is the contradiction that LHH's impact on other businesses is wholly positive. Colleagues at client organisations are positively impacted by LHH no doubt. Employees at LHH however... Most quickly realise they should use LHH as a stepping stone, get some new experience, try to enjoy it along the way, try to avoid the office politics and power plays, ignore the poor pay and good colleagues leaving consistently... Just create a positive story for your own career and move somewhere where employees are valued. If you care about your work environment and want to take pride from the culture you are part of, then your time is much better spent somewhere else. No-one cares about the business out of choice, because it would be too difficult to improve and the few colleagues in leadership who are benefiting from the status quo would block efforts for positive change anyway. They would rather sit doing sub-par work and eventually move into retirement. It seems they believe it cheaper to 'get out of LHH colleagues what they can' while they are LHH employees, because there will always be enough prospective hires who find the idea of LHH as attractive. If you look at where the money is spent, it's not spent on creating sustainable business practice it's spent on short term fixes and just doing enough to keep key clients. At LHH you will work hard because you have to. If you want to work hard because you choose to, because you enjoy being part of something larger, then just don't join LHH in the first place. I was hesitant to write an honest review because there are a few great people, the CEO of UK/IR for example JC, and the career transition coaches who do an amazing job of impacting peoples lives. But for the vast majority of colleagues they will just find themselves an example of what they do NOT want from their own career.

We try to ensure that all employees have a positive experience of working for LHH and creating an inclusive and supportive working environment. We are proud of the culture we have created which is reflected in the high employee rating scores we get from the regular staff surveys. Feedback is important to us and the openness and accessibility to enable employees to give feedback to senior managers as well as the evidence that many suggestions are actioned upon, demonstrates the importance that LHH values all employee contributions. I appreciate the time taken to feedback your points and if there are any issues in particular that you would like to discuss in more detail confidentially, please contact contact@lhh.com

Reeks of Racism

Pros

In the City of London

Cons

A recent survey in June 2020 revealed white colleagues don't want more black people working there. One colleague said now George Floyd is dead that black people will get jobs they don't deserve. The company is comprised of cliques. Whites and blacks don't hang out together. Promotions are always given to young white women. There are not any black coaches hired for the corporate work except like 1 or 2. They don't have but like 4 Indian people. If they don't like you you get written up. It's a horrible fake place to work. They only just have 1 office out of 400 that has a Diversity & Inclusion group. I'm looking for a new job.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. At LHH we strive to create an inclusive workplace where LHHers can bring their whole selves to do their best work. We push ourselves continuously further by keeping ourselves and each other accountable to our values. We do not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind. We have not seen any comments of this kind in our employee engagement surveys. If you hear comments or see behaviour that you feel does not reflect this commitment to equality and inclusivity, we urge you to share this with either your line manager, a member of the HR team, a member of the leadership team or our CEO or President. We do not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind. We work to push ourselves continuously further in creating an environment of inclusion, and we know that actions speak louder than words. That’s why • We have a long-standing Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the UK that works closely with the Global Diversity Committee. • We include unconscious bias and anti-discrimination content in our manager training. • We have regular D & I forums hosted by the executive leadership team that are open to all • We include D & I questions in our employee engagement surveys so that employees can easily raise concerns in a confidential manner. We know that this is a time for all organisations to listen, learn and continuously do better. As part of this ongoing commitment to proactively embrace difference to build a stronger, more inclusive organisation, we have also invested in enhancing our recruiting and internal promotion practices. All of these strategies and decisions apply to internal hires and promotions as well as to external hiring. We have: • Hired a seasoned and experienced Talent Acquisition professional to lead this globally • Consolidated our recruiting staff into one team to ensure consistency in our recruiting approach across LHH • Introduced global technology that allows us to more easily share available opportunities • Leveraged diverse online communities to reach out to candidates that might not otherwise apply to LHH • Introduced technology that identifies gender bias in our job postings • Provided Executive Committee commitment to ensure a diverse slate of candidates is considered for every external search • Built behaviour-based diversity and inclusion questions into the interview process to emphasise our culture of inclusivity and to ensure we are hiring talent that believe this is an important tenet to organisational culture • Reinforced our commitment to diversity with potential new hires during the interview process by describing our efforts and priorities on this work. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
