Pros

Remote, which they are now doing away with to get people in hubs and letting go of people that they hired as remote employees Trauma bonded with other people so you make strong friendships

Cons

Toxic, abusive, big brother, corporate bullying at its finest. Zero regard for anything but the bottom dollar. You are just a cog in the wheel for this company and they lack total capacity to be human. Be prepared to be proverbially chained to your desk for 8 hours a day with camera and microphone on under the premise of the “fun and interactive metaverse”. That’s their idea of “remote”. It’s giving big brother. You are forced to go through a training program that they fire 90 percent of new hires in 3 months. You are told to fall in line or leave by upper management and told to work harder and use work as your crutch if you’re ever going through anything outside of work. They will fire anyone that has a voice or opinion that may differ from the big, bad wolf. This ship is the titanic, it’s sinking fast, save yourself. I promise there are other organizations that will NOT treat you with utter disregard like this.

Pros

Getting to help people facing an unplanned career transition / layoff

Cons

Completely insane expectations for service delivery, given the tight time constraints for client engagement; Poor leadership communication; Doing work without being able to bill for it . . . LHH should seriously considering shuttering, if not comprehensively overhauling, the Professional Branding Specialist operation / program. We were expected to produce reworked candidate resumes (ranging from workers with basically minimal job experience to executive-level leaders with 30+ years of experience) within the same (30-minute to one-hour time limit). If you exceeded that time frame to produce a quality product ( and most assignments required this overage to produce a workable end product for candidates and prevent them from feeling upset / cheated), we could not bill for that time. Essentially, up to half of my working hours were comprised of time I could not bill for / get paid for, and this includes the scheduled candidate meetings (I'd be sitting around waiting for them to show up for our virtual meeting, only for them to be no-shows). If they missed the meeting, even though I blocked an hour to help them, I WOULD NOT get paid for that time. Management either ignores emails or promises to address issues, only for you not to ever hear back. You are ghosted you once you start experiencing the endemic issues of this half-baked delivery model. The IT systems are a complete mess and are probably ripe for hacking at any moment. We used about 5 different log-ins for at least that many systems. Also, we had to use our own computers and equipment (printers, cell phones, word processing software), despite being "employees."

Horrible Experience

Pros

Flexible schedule and 100% remote environment. You can go in office if there is one in your geo

Cons

I had an unfortunate experience with a job at LHH, which turned out to be extremely disappointing. The training process was excessively long, spanning months, and the success rate was abysmally low, with only a handful graduating from each hiring class. It felt like they hired with the intention to let go of the majority. The work environment was toxic, characterized by fear tactics. Trainers consistently threatened termination, creating a stressful atmosphere. Expressing any dissenting opinion or feedback that didn't align with their expectations was met with the risk of being fired. To make matters worse, the pay was inadequate, and the micromanagement was suffocating. Trainers exhibited unprofessional behavior, treating employees as if they were in elementary school. Overall, it was a regrettable experience that highlighted significant flaws in the company's approach to its workforce. They let go of a whole training class sometime in October. They literally hire in masses just to fire. It’s a marketing campaign and they will remind you that they will fire you everyday.
