Great Place to Work

Pros

This organization - nationwide - has a great office culture. It is warm and welcoming and very much team-oriented. The company has a very family-oriented nature and style. Colleagues and Associates are very caring, responsive, and helpful. In spite of how large LHH is and the 300+ offices they have worldwide, the organization is flat and the office politics are minimal. The exposure to senior leaders, executives and subject matter experts is very good - which in turn has a positive impact on professional development and advancement. The company is very customer / candidate focused. It is commonplace to see all staff members go above and beyond their roles and expectations to serve customers and candidates alike. It is rewarding to be surrounded by team members that share the same sense of purpose and furthering the mission of helping people. The benefits package is generous if you are a full time salaried colleague. The work life balance is easy to achieve here. They are supportive of all work styles including virtual options. The one factor that keeps me here the most are my direct mangers. I have been promoted faster in my eight year tenure with this company than any company I have previously worked for. The company has several recognition programs at local levels and regional levels.

Cons

The company is a tenured company - most employees have been here at minimum 7 - 10 years if not more. There are long-standing established relationships that at times can hinder or make inefficient the process of implementing change. From a technology perspective the company is still working diligently to make significant improvements and they are well on their way - the systems are still somewhat slow. There is no tuition reimbursement program. The compensation model for 1:1 consultants has room for improvement

Pros

A collaborative, supportive environment. Management allows you to run your own ship. All staff, in their own unique way, work towards the common goal - assisting individuals with their career development or transition. Work-life balance is good - hours, working from home, social activities... Fun, upbeat atmosphere. The office attitude is "say Yes and work it out afterwards" - which offers lots of opportunity for personal growth and exciting moments!

Cons

Nationally there is a lack of consistency in some areas, with individuals not looking at the "bigger picture" when making decisions. Constant change in the last 12 months has taken its toll on the team, we have great tools and resources to assist individuals with managing change - like a builder we need to work on our own house as well as our customer's. Professional development is sporadic - some roles have a lot, others have none at all. Culture is strong at a local level, though not much harmony at a national level.

Rewarding and Challenging

Pros

Great team culture, everyone is friendly and professional and willing to chip-in to get things done when busy The team's attitude is 'yes we can do it' rather than always finding the reason it won't work Freedom to do your job your way and coaching when you need it (though you need to be proactive and seek it out) Working with a range of industries and client organisations, good access to decision makers

Cons

Being owned by Adecco does mean there is a large focus on profit and costs Moving at a fast pace means that the systems and processes are still being developed and built
