It is probably one of the best environment for engineers in Japan. They do not function like the typical Japanese company, although it is sunk into japanese work culture...

Cons

...which means you'll have no leadership, no-one to boldly hold a decision and make it through, passive aggressive unspoken harassment from bosses, in each level of the hierarchy. They will think what is good for you without your consent or consult, and gently force you through it over good conscience and empathy.
