Pros

Small business feel with down to earth crew. Machinists are honest and hardworking. Product basically sells itself.

Cons

Some of the worst management in any company. The building is dated and the CEO is a tyranical fool who listens to no one, throws fits like a child and is single handedly dooming the business he inherited as a 3rd gen owner. He fires people on a whim, has no idea the needs of the plant or it's people and blindly makes investment decisions without any concern for the impact. Likely to close it's doors in <5 years.

Pros

- Machinists and welders are very experienced and are good at what they do - Jobs can present exciting challenges on the floor

Cons

- No quality system at all; QA department is very lazy - Management doesn't have a clue about operations, total disconnect from plant - Bad attitudes from management team because they can't make deadlines due to disorganization - High turnover rate - Lots of finger pointing and playing the blame game - Very poor pay
