      Pros

      The talent at LPL is real. There are genuinely smart, dedicated, hardworking people across the organization who care deeply about the work and each other. That part is worth acknowledging.

      Cons

      Leadership culture in certain organizations has become toxic and demoralizing. Employees are living in fear, empowerment is a buzzword thrown around in town halls but nowhere to be found in practice, and morale is at an all-time low. Constant layoffs have created an atmosphere of anxiety and instability that makes it nearly impossible to do your best work. The gap between what leadership says and what employees actually experience is significant and growing.

      Cons

      There is too much leadership turnover. Many leaders were brought in from outside companies diluting who LPL is and wants to be. With each change comes a different direction and philosophy. The company is trying to grow quickly but lacks the foundation; CRM, leadership, and hiring to keep up. This puts tremendous pressure on managers to deliver without the support to be successful. Very vague HR policies make it hard to hold employees accountable.

      Some good people at that company. Modern HQ building.

      Cons

      The egos on the management team are enormous. Also, for a company that's growing financially it's curious that they continue to make staff cuts. It also feels like they're cutting remote workers first as they push a return to office.
