Pros

I worked as a claim processor and it was a great place. Training was efficient, management is good for the most part, job is very easy and relaxing. Except...

Cons

Audit is very picky and the facilities (break room, restrooms) are kinda bad. That's about all the complaints I have - keep it up!

Pros

The team I worked with consisted of an Architect, Developers, BAs, QA people, Project Manager and over the years, different Managers. Daily meetings to go over project status and weekly project planning proved supportive and informational - it was easy to ask questions, offer suggestions and plan goals.

Cons

Numerous times over the years I was offered the opportunity to move into new areas which may have resulted in more job security. Often changing management (of me, not the others - how fair was that?) failed to follow through with new project promises. Indecision of management made it impossible to decide what classes as each project was based on different development applications.

Pros

Flexibility due to work from home, comparable benefits, morale and activities were a priority. Overtime offered frequently.

Cons

Salary negotiations were tedious and insulting. In the area of claims there is no future with the company as the policies are no longer being sold. Very stressful environment due to numbers driven production. Training was the worst I've had at any job before. Limited upward mobility. IT dept workers were rude and mostly incompetent. System and databases extremely outdated. Instead of investing in those areas they developed a program to track production to the minute. Meetings were unnecessary and the majority subject matter could be covered in an email. No holiday bonus, gift, or even a card.
