Pros

-Summer Fridays -Good healthcare benefits -Annual in-person kick-off event -Innovative and fun teams -Eager to grow and evolve

Cons

With rapid growth comes regular changes. Mainly with restructuring/layoffs, which started happening almost every quarter. Those who remained were then given the work of others who had left or reduced resources to hit the expected goals.

Pros

I was really excited to work here and felt like it was a great place to grow as an engineer and in a lot of ways I did. I always felt like many of the rank and file employees and first line managers seemed to be pretty solid.

Cons

Increasing amounts of restructuring. One to two times per year for at least the last 3 years. Work became increasingly pressured, in person events dropped off and were no longer fun. Most everyone was concerned they could get the axe. I think most engineers felt decently safe but they were not immune. Nearly everyone I was close with as an engineer is looking to leave, they literally told me, or I would not be shocked if they were. AI was being shoved down our throat. They were definitely monitoring token usage. Up your production with AI or be let go was not so subtly communicated towards us.

Pros

* party * summer friday * remote/hybrid flexibility * Dallas HQ has very appealing environment and offers snacks, drinks etc..

Cons

* company goes through multiple "re-org" a year * typically as soon as high level leadership change you could expect to be let go at the next "re-org" * company or your new leadership find bogus "performance" excuses to surprise you with a out of no where meeting with HR showing all the "low performance" reasons. however, most dept managers and directors has 1-on-1 setup with team member and some how "performance" issues were never brought up.
