Pros

It's a great family-friendly environment. I believe the curriculum is the best in the business. The kids have fun with the activities and they are learning and getting prepared for school.

Cons

Upper management wants to hire degreed teachers but is unwilling to pay a competitive rate for those teachers. Most of the teachers have only a high school diploma. All La Petite buildings are in bad shape. Most were built in the 60's and 70's and have had no updates. Families looking for care today want a structrually sound, state-of-the-art facility and La Petite does not provide that.

Pros

My first year was great because at the time I had no plans of moving up within the company. I had just graduated with an associate's degree in ECE so I liked the teaching experience.

Cons

As an AIM, I was expected to perform as the director and assistant director as needed as well as to teach my class. I was perfectly fine with that because I hoped the experience and hard work would get me recognized to be promoted. After years of this and many rejected interviews, I felt that I was being taken advantage of so I resigned. Now I'm in a higher position at a different company.

-Easy to get hired here. -The kids, as in any education environment, are what make a center great.

Cons

-Uneducated management at the local and district level. -Lousy pay. -Outrageously expensive benefits. -Staff is catty. -Not enough supplies. -Dirty centers. -Parents are treated with NO respect or care.
