Pros

Great co-workers, flexible hours, great experience learning new techniques

Cons

Heavy workload with understaffed lab. Focus was primarily on budget and ensuring that numbers are met at the end of the month. Overtime is not necessarily mandatory, but somewhat expected.

Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn and gain experience in many scientific fields. Great place to build a résumé and find a profession of interest. Good health benefits and lots of PTO.

Cons

Low wages. Constant unrealistic pressure from the clients that is promised by other Covance employees that don't actually have to do the work. The vast layers of management and office type jobs that seem unnecessary. Poor capital reinvestment back into lab equipment which leads to constant instrument repair issues. Employee turnover is a huge problem everywhere in Covance.
