      Pros

      Get to meet great colleagues as friends (not many workplace have such blessings). In time of high workload times, helpful colleagues are available to help one another - that's how friendships are forged and formed.

      Cons

      Workload - not stable i.e. sometimes high, sometimes low (nature of commercial labs). Unfair workload distribution by managers/supervisors. Managers/supervisors/technical leaders lack the laboratory visibility and they get the wind of lab news via admin spies and gossip monger chemists who are free (due unfair distribution). Abuse of some chemists who claiming OT Lack of career growth and development for the individuals Increment is not great i.e. achieving Exceed Expectation and get ~5% increment only. High turn-over rate - those in probation also leave.

      Pros

      I was really worried about starting at Covance because it is such a big company with so many employees. It looks a lot like a factory. However, in my first couple of months I have learned that the people are very friendly and easy to get along with. There really is no drama like I have had in past jobs. I like it a lot so far and can't imagine working for a better company. Also, it pays about $4 an hour more than most hospitals in the area with plenty of opportunities for advancement in you work hard.

      So far I have seen no cons.
