High volume, stressful, job training could be better

I really don't have any Cons.

TIme keeping rules are a little vague.

Promised hours of operation for myself and techs were changed after accepting offer letters during aquisition. Spotty training on LIS software. Unrealistic expectations for how quickly validations could be completed. Limited access to needed procedures. No work life balance, was pressured to work 12+ hour days and that eventually I would be able to use the unlimited PTO

The workload is high, therefore other team members have, absolutely fairly, prioritised their work and I have had a lack of training and tasks on some days. Some tasks are well explained and others you are thrown in the deep end. There has also been a lack of introductions to people outside of the team, therefore it can be hard to troubleshoot problems on my own as I don't know who to contact.

Training needs to be improved in terms of collaborative measures to ensure the employee fully grasps concepts. Too much heavy security to gain access to systems to start training, creates lag times to critical training periods.

you are extremely over worked. they expect you to do front office, billing/insurance, in addition to doing phleb work. often times they leave you as the only patient care tech in the location that is packed with people waiting well over an hour. they are purposefully understaffed and will not provide much help. managers try to help but ultimately corporate calls the shots and will not budge. its quite literally you vs a huge company. not to mention the "VIP" sites in los angeles. In training we were told no one is VIP and to treat everyone equally, even if they are a celebrity. However, working in LA thats a different deal and they will expect you to tolerate verbal abuse from clients in a high paying area like Wilshire. Toxic and rude clients but very hardworking staff that is underpaid.
