Pros

I am fortunate to work for a supportive manager who provides ongoing feedback, encourages me to push myself, and supports my growth and development. My team is great and employees are passionate about what they do. There are always pros and cons, but at Laborie and for me, the pros certainly outweigh any challenges that I may face in my work.

Cons

Cross-department communication is challenging at times, where those who need to be involved in a conversation/meeting may not be initially included. I don't think this is intentional, but it can be frustrating and make things harder than they need to be.

On it's way to something great

Pros

Lot of opportunity to solve problems and get good experience with low hanging fruit all over the place. Good local sight leadership. Co workers like working with eachother here. One of the best performing sites in the company. It's a great place for people who like to work in chaos and who are given the freedom to really own solution finding and implementation. This site also manufactures very tried and true products that have stood the test of time.

Cons

Constant chaos related to decades of former leadership practices that are now being uncovered and address correctly. There's a lot of progress happening but it sometimes feels like everything is on fire all the time which can be a lot to manage. The benefits are too expensive and the health insurance offers poor coverage when you actually need to use it. Routine care coverage is slightly better. Corporate leadership is plagued by executive leaders who all have sales backgrounds which typically results in really dumb, absent minded decisions that are so removed from the reality of the operations.
