Pros

Great environment for expanding your growth in technology. The broad customer base always means that you're working on something new where there are opportunities to get involved in product and system development that will allow you to utilize what you know and explore implementing new approaches to solving customer problems. All projects involve working with light by either measuring it, or trying to replicate certain spectra for a given application.

Cons

As with any company, there are deadlines to be met, so working to meet these can require extra time when you have critical projects.

Pros

Excellent coworkers and community that really makes you feel a part of something special. Products have a huge impact on the world and it is great to work for a company making a difference.

Cons

Roles and management could be more well defined. Marketing/sales can be stubborn about obsoleting old product lines.

It's sometimes difficult to "let go" of older product lines when we still have so many satisfied customers using them in the field. Our recent product roadmaps, with an emphasis on emerging technologies and markets, should make the transition from legacy products to new solutions a bit easier.
