Pros

There are no pros working for this company as a whole- the only potential pro is that you can get away with a lot of unethical behavior

Cons

Everything at the start of this job sounds great and everyone puts on a really good show for about 3 months. The fake runs deep. I was intrigued when I started because it’s a small center and at the time they were only hiring RBT’s with training and experience. But as time went on, true colors came out. The ethics code here is non existent. They claim there is no dual or interpersonal relationships but oh my. The national clinical director, regional clinical director, and a BCBA are all very close. The regional clinical director was in the BCBA’s WEDDING. That being said, this BCBA walks on water in this center. Said person has been reported for inappropriate behavior with clients and staff and nothing has ever been done. Knowing how this company operates, nothing ever will be done. This BCBA will gaslight and emotionally manipulate you and then scream at you in a lobby full of parents and clients or make inappropriate comments about your personal life, you will report it, and that’s the end. Nothing ever changes. I have never worked in a place where the morale of employees is cared less about. All these people are interested in are billable hours so they can have their fat paychecks and bonuses. RBTs are pee ons. This goes beyond just being poor supervisors- it’s about how these people are as human beings. Allowing someone to treat employees and clients the way this BCBA does and receive MULTIPLE reports from MULTIPLE people and do nothing about it just because they are “friends” is disgusting. How can parents trust the integrity of care and staff at a place that condones this sort of behavior? This goes past this particular individual as well. There are RBT’s that have been employed here that came to work under the influence, blatantly threatened to harm children and others that will say out loud in front of a group of people that they don’t care about these kids. When this behaviors is reported to supervisors it is laughed at and these people continue to treat children with high needs day in and day out. If you want to work in a place that allows employees to run a muck and not follow any sort of ethics code, apply and they will hire you because they don’t care either.

Pros

It is very easy to get a job at this company if you are personable.

Cons

It is a chain ABA company, upper management is not very involved with the clinic operations and therefore they have a lot of demands that do not match the reality of the clinic setting or what it is like to work with children on the spectrum. There is more push for data and billing insurance than quality care. There were also a lot of unsafe working conditions while children were present in the clinic and sessions were not cancelled in order to continue billing. The clinic also prioritizes billing in the sense that they have a history of continuing to employ BCBA's and upper management that have been reported to be abusive towards personnel and clients in order to keep clients and sessions available.

Pros

Reasonable hourly rate for the position and the market.

Cons

Frequent unexpected changes to schedule. Reduced hourly rate due to client cancellation, hours worked that are not "billable," to insurance. Rate dropped to $15 and hour for such periods as nap time, client's being late, or client's canceling.
